Instant Credit Card

Consumers interested in applying for instant credit cards may wonder what is meant by the term instant credit card; are credit card applications really instantaneous and how fast is one approved for an instant credit card anyway?  In truth, the majority of instant credit card offers are accessible online, but some consumers can actually apply for instant credit cards when they visit a retailer and fill out a paper application.  The instant credit card is then called into a company that reviews the consumer’s credit history and an approval decision is based on that history.

It’s fine for consumers to apply for instant credit cards online but it is not recommended that they apply for a lot of instant credit cards at one time.  Whenever a consumer applies for an instant credit card the company will review the consumer’s credit report and the number of times a report is viewed is reported.  If a consumer applies for a lot of instant credit cards the increased number of views on a credit report can actually produce a negative effect.  Debtors, lenders and companies will witness the number of credit report requests and a high number of credit report requests can actually cause other instant credit card applications to be denied.  Thus, when attempting to apply for several instant credit cards the consumer should time the applications accordingly, and never apply for two many.  Reasonably, one or two cards is sufficient.

Now, to fill out an instant credit card online a consumer merely needs to find an offer and carefully review the offer in question.  Of course, the consumer should never stop at a single offer and they should further compare several instant credit card offers, choosing among offers one or two of the best.  When applying for instant credit cards online the consumer may require financial information, and it’s a good idea to have certain documents on hand just in case.  Usually, the consumer will have to provide his or her social security number, personal information, and work history in some instances. The consumer may also have to provide financial information pertaining to income, and he or she should fill out the application as thoroughly as possible.  Sometimes applications are declined for not including enough information.

When the application is to be processed, the consumer clicks an electronic submission button. With instant credit cards there may be a thirty second to two minute wait depending on the website one is working with.  Instant approval will be given to those consumers that qualify; however, there are instances where qualifying individuals must submit more information before they can be approved.  In the latter case the consumer will be notified of what documentation is needed.  Finally, sometimes people are declined because, for whatever reason, his or her credit report was inaccessible at the time the application was submitted.  Usually, the consumer is notified that the application process could not be completed at the moment in time.

When applying for instant credit cards if the consumer is denied and they are unsure of the reasoning behind the denial, they will receive a notice via the United States Postal Service of the denial.  The consumer will also receive instructions about how to access his or her credit report to see what, if anything is affected the immediate approval of an instant credit card.  While it is advised that the consumer fully understand his or her credit report before they apply, sometimes this is not always the case.  Nevertheless, if one has been denied for an instant credit card the access to one’s personal credit report is often made free to the consumer.
